Rice (Arisi) Upma


Ingredients (Translation)

1 cup Rice
2 tbsp Redgram Dal
1 tsp Cumin seeds
4 to 5 Pepper
2 cups Water
3 tsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Bengal gram dal -
1/2 tsp Black gram dal
Curry leaves -3 to 4
Salt to taste

Grind the rice, toor dal, jeera and pepper into fine rawa in the mixer.

Add to this, 2 cups of water, salt and microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring twice in between.

In a closed microwave safe bowl, add the oil, rai, chana dal and urad dal and micro high for 1 minutes. Add curry leaves and mix well with the upma.

Allow 2 minutes standing time.

Delicious rice upma is ready to eat. Serve with chutney and jaggery.
