The recipe looks simple and great. Your picture looks fantastic. My aunt used to make a similar kind of cake when I was little. One more going to my list.

Hi,

Your cake is looking yummy. I want to give a quick trail of your cake. Can you pls clarify my doubt. As per my view soft drinks mean Pepsi, Coke, Sprite ...etc.,
Which soft drink can be used to make this cake.

Thanks Pravs...do try it sometime

@ Sailaja...thanks. I used lehar soda, the plain one. If u are making orange cake,u can add mirinda or fanta

hi this is vaishu.. ur cake looks very yummy.. and since im new to making cakes what is that cut&fold technique??can u explain pls..

EC said...

Thanks Vaishu, Its a bit difficult to explain in words-but will try..you need to use a spatula and make a complete round in the edges of the vessel with the batter, and then draw a line in the center and repeat the first process ..So we are cutting the batter in the center and then folding it with the spatula by moving it all around the edges..

thanks so much ya.. i sort of understood the technique..i will try making it this weekend and let u know..im so excited..
