Mor Kali

A famous South Indian breakfast variety that can be made in a jiffy.

Ingredients

1 cup rice flour
1 cup thin buttermilk
1 cup water
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp bengalgram dal
1/2 tsp blackgram dal
Few curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp oil
2 Mor milagai (Chillies soaked in curd and dried)

Add the oil, mustard, bengalgram dal, blackgram dal in a microwave safe bowl and micro high for 20 seconds. Add curry leaves, mor milagai and mix well.

Add the batter made of rice flour, buttermilk, salt and water and micro high for 3 to 4 minutes. Mix well once in between to ensure even cooking.

Serve hot with sugar or pickles as per taste.

Traditionally it is served as in the picture, but for convenience you could even spread it on a greased plate and cut into pieces.

This is my entry to the WBB-21 event started by Nandita of Saffron Trailand guest hosted by this blog for the month of April with the theme of Microwave Foods.
